Cake Pan Release

1/2 Cup all-vegetable shortening

1/2 Cup flour

1/4 Cup vegetable oil

Mix all ingredients until well incorporated and store in an airtight container.

Use a pastry brush to apply cake pan release to your baking pans.  You’ll notice an easier release of your cake, fewer crumbs, and a few minutes saved from using the “grease and flour” method.  You can also purchase Cake Release pre-made in a convenient squeeze bottle.
